Day 61 - The Nursery

Let's start with the picture that inspired it all:

We finally started the nursery over the weekend. Clarence and RuthAnn really did a lot more work than I did; okay they did most of the work.

We painted most of the room a bright white (that has a slight pink hue) and one wall a darker gray. RuthAnn painted a birch tree on the gray wall.

We also took white letters and covered them with scrapbooking paper and glued ribbon to the backs to spell her name above the crib.

The crib is assembled and the dresser is set up. I ordered some decals of flowers and butterflies (and now I’m concerned they aren’t going to stick b/c we have textured walls). My co-worker suggested that we put them on some sort of backing and then stick them to the wall; we might have to do that.

I’m so thankful for Ruthie and Clarence’s help (and the fact that those two get along). I was so tired that trying to do that much work would have never worked for me.

Can’t believe we are to the point where we have a real crib set up in our house. This baby is going to get her a lot quicker we even realize!

My new blog plan - Day 63

So my new plan is to do a blog entry for the last 63 days of my pregnancy.  I probably should have started this at a more round number, like 75, but oh well.  I'm officially 2 months away from having this baby!

I'm going to use Monday's to do the pregnancy survey, here goes!

How far along?: 31 weeks
Total weight gain: I think I'm done talking about this....haha.  All I have to say is that I have headed back to the gym to help slow down my weight loss a bit.  The Dr is happy with my weight gain, but I'm not!  It's all worth it though!
How big is baby?: About 17 in head to toe; about 4 (!!) lbs
Maternity clothes?: No turning back now! Maternity clothes are a MUST for sure.
Movement: She is a very busy girl.  I'm feeling her at least once an hour sometimes more. I think she is still trying to roll and do things she did when she was MUCH smaller, now its just painful.  I can't complain though because I seriously love it.
Stretch marks?: Still none yet....**knock on wood**.  I'll just keep moisturizing.
Sleep?: We have a schedule established already.  Asleep by 9:30; up at 12:30, 2:30, 3:30 and sometimes 4:30.  I'm usually really tired all the time during the day but again, totally worth it.
Symptoms?: Still tired, all the time.  I'm also having a pain on the right side of my stomach that is becomming very annoying.  I know for sure its not my liver so the midwife is looking at a few other things.
Food cravings: Watermelon and this week I want all the milk I can get.
Belly button in or out?: Pretty flat at this point in time!  Working its way out.
What I miss: Still missing wine and now beer as well.  The hot weather is making me want an ice cold beer. I'm also starting to miss my regular clothes and moving around easily!
What I'm looking forward to: Seeing what Kendall looks like!  I'm dying to see this little girl and hold her!
Best Moment this week: Getting so much done in the nursery! I'll talk more about that tomorrow.
Milestone: Having a crib set up in my house. It made it SO real.
Nursery Progress: About 80% done. Painting is done, letters for her name are made.  I ordered the decals, but they aren't here yet.  It's coming along!
