Let's start with the picture that inspired it all:
We finally started the nursery over the weekend. Clarence and RuthAnn really did a lot more work than I did; okay they did most of the work.
We painted most of the room a bright white (that has a slight pink hue) and one wall a darker gray. RuthAnn painted a birch tree on the gray wall.
We also took white letters and covered them with scrapbooking paper and glued ribbon to the backs to spell her name above the crib.
The crib is assembled and the dresser is set up. I ordered some decals of flowers and butterflies (and now I’m concerned they aren’t going to stick b/c we have textured walls). My co-worker suggested that we put them on some sort of backing and then stick them to the wall; we might have to do that.
I’m so thankful for Ruthie and Clarence’s help (and the fact that those two get along). I was so tired that trying to do that much work would have never worked for me.
Can’t believe we are to the point where we have a real crib set up in our house. This baby is going to get her a lot quicker we even realize!
